“Gorgeous language, an inspiring story, and unforgettable characters–Circles has it all. I fell for this book in the very first chapter when we’re introduced to Feather Floating, and I didn’t fall out from under its spell even after I had read the final word. I found myself “thumbing” back through the pages to read particular passages just like I return to my favorite poems.
This book was written to be savored. I knew from the first page that this story would require a careful read by me because the story carries a depth that can only be reached by a deliberate read. You don’t rush through a poem. Likewise, this book is not to be rushed. It unfolds gently and beautifully as you travel through the pages.”
“I really got attached to the little boy, Feather Floating In Water who is the main character and is followed throughout the story as he discovers his purpose in life and for his people. There are some ups and downs throughout the book for both the little boy and his family and it kept me reading wanting to see what happened. The ending was quite a surprise, you will really have to find out for yourselves. Highly recommended!”
“The story is strongly written and will appeal to those who believe that mankind should live in harmony with nature. If you expect savagery and blood – look elsewhere.”
“This is a beautifully written story about a young child, Feather Floating In Water who has dreams he does not understand and is afraid to speak of them until his grandmother, Bright Sun Flower finds a way to allow him to open up and tell her of his fears. Danger is coming and they must act, but who listens to a boy?
“Humor brings life to each person and adds to their colorfulness. It is easy to fall in love with each character, to share their emotions, to know each one personally, and become involved in their lives, worry with them, feel their joy.”
